So now begins the decision process! Now let's not kid ourselves a decision like buying a juicer is definitely going to require a little consideration, but where to start? Whether you are a complete newbie to the world of juicing or a hardened vegetation veteran this quick run down of things to consider when buying a juicer will certainly help get you looking at and thinking about the right things for your (next) juicing machine.

We want to make sure you are as happy as possible whichever way you decide to go so you don't end up with the all too familiar situation of a shiny new piece of kit being banished to the back of the cupboard to gather dust!

Primary Use

Coming in first on our list of things to consider when buying a juicer has to be the primary intended use for your piece of machinery. It goes without saying that no matter what all the other factors may be you want your juicer to be able to do the things you were hoping to use it for!

Essentially this boils down to one question - what are you intending on using your machine for?

If the answer to this is for day to day on-the-go type juice-making of typically juicy fruits and vegetables then you'll most likely be looking for a Centrifugal Juicer. While a slightly older model the increased power and further options to play with combined with the smart chip auto-asjuster make this a modest step up from the Breville Fountain Plus. Having stood the test of time this Juicer has proved to be a firm favourite for those who know exactly what they want and how to make it. At a more than reasonable price, often found discounted below the aforemetioned Juicer Plus model (no doubt due to its release date) it is no surprise it holds the Best Seller badge on Amazon.

Breville BJE510XL Juice Fountain Multi-Speed 900-Watt Juicer

The Pros

900-watt Motor – This juicer comes with a heavy-duty 900-watt motor which revs up from speeds anywhere between 6,500 RPM to 12,000 RPM.

5-speed Selector tailored for different food groups– This is the stellar feature of this juicer. its multi-speed selector function which, coupled with its LCD juicing speed guarantees maximum juice extraction every time. Simply select the speed which is best suited for the produce you are juicing, and the juicer will extract the most goodness possible.

Juicing of Leafy Greens is tricky - Another known feature of centrifugal juicers. While this juicer does command a greater efficiency over some of the harder fruits and vegetables, leafy greens remain the kryptonite of this type of juicer.

Verdict

It's not often a piece of machinery comes along and stands as long as this one has. Sure there have been some increases in capability and some design aspects internally, both in terms of composition and raw materials may be slightly different for some of the newer models, but the jury is out on this longstanding customer favourite, especially with the built-in smart chip function. If you can catch this Juicer on offer it would be hard not to justify snatching it up. With all the fantastic feedback it has received over the years and its continued stock movement this is certainly setting the standard for Juicers old and new.
